Have you been to Boone's Fishhouse and Oyster Room on Commercial Street in Portland? It's right on the water, and has been open since 1898! In the summer, there's no better place to sit on a deck and watch the ferries come and go with a boozy cocktail. In the winter, the vibe is wonderfully cozy and lively. When planning a winter event to love on my clients, their upstairs was the obvious choice for the atmosphere I was hoping for.

The smooth sounds of the 821 Jazz Trio greeted guests as they crested the stairs. Gorgeous blooms from Judy Bourgeois at Flora Fauna brightened the rustic space. And a raw bar and heavy apps kept bellies happy throughout the evening. The best part, however, was watching clients-now-friends meet each other and make new connections together.
